Windermere in photo form

Here are some belated pictures from the Windermere Marathon.

Windermere Marathon: What Went Right, What Went Wrong

I was very excited to meet this pretty lady for the first time! I had been following her blog and then she sort of deleted it, but now she writes for an awesome online women's running blog called "Salty Running". Check out her posts, they are worth the read!

My waterboy, Mr. Healthy Diva, took pictures of me at Windermere. He did an outstanding job during the day. Couldn't have finished the race without him telling me he wouldn't take me home. Still can't believe he wouldn't let me quit. Smart man!

Right before the race- when I was still happy. Didn't my Brooks singlet turn out awesome?!

Longest 200 meters of my life....

Super determined to not let that guy beat me (spoiler alert: I beat him).

Everything hurt. Everything.

My determined "the finish line is thisclose" look. Random side note: even when clearly exhausted and dying, I am not heel striking!!!!! Winning!

Horrible melt down in form, but do you see those back muscles?! Thank you Farmgirlfit!

Never have been so happy to be finished with a race and all of the training shenanigans.

The finish line area at Windermere is beautiful. Mr. Healthy Diva was really proud of this picture he took.

    1. Thanks Laura. I was pretty lucky to have the support from hubs that day. It was rough and without him I still might be out there somewhere on the course! LOL
