Ragnar Las Vegas!!!!!

Thank you for all of your kind words on my lastpost. I felt like I was being a “debbie downer”
when I wasn’t intentionally trying to be. We all have rough weeks. I had several rough ones in a row and I think that my long run fail was an accumulation of several factors. BUT, it is over. Done with. I am moving forward and not thinking about it anymore. This is a new week with new workouts and refreshed legs. I am going to take a deep breath and not panic. Windermere is still weeks away so there is plenty of time and room for improvement. This week I am taking it easy with my workouts in the hopes that extra rest will be a refreshment.

With that being said, I do have some exciting news! On Friday after I posted my love for Nuun I received a very exciting email in m inbox:

The announcement of the Nuun Ragnar teams for 2013!!!!!

We were asked a couple of weeks ago to submit our top 3 choices. I immediately picked Las Vegas (11/8-11/9) for one BIG reason.

My 30th birthday is on 11/8!!!!

I have always wanted to run a race on my birthday and with my birthday being in November there isn’t a lot of options for races. I have been so jealous (but excited) of people that have gotten to mark their birthday with a milestone race (26.2 for 26 years, etc.). I feel so lucky that I get to celebrate a milestone birthday in Vegas and I get to run a race with Nuun! How cool is that?!

Dirty 30 + Nuun + Ragnar + Awesome Vanmates + VEGAS is bound to = an EPIC weekend!

Thank you Nuun for picking me!!!!!

Questions for you:
Ever run a race on your birthday?
Have you completed a Ragnar Relay?

    1. I can only imagine how how that area can get. Hood to Coast gets pretty warm too so it is refreshing once you hit the beach. I think that no matter what, any relay is fun. I love them!

    1. Hearing the news about Ragnar was definitely uplifting for me. So far this week has been pretty good. I think I just needed some rest to get refreshed. I took a sporadic rest day on Sunday and on Tuesday. Feeling pretty good today!
