Friday Favorites: New Recipes

I don't know about any of you, but this week was super taxing. I am exhausted today! Last weekend I tried some new recipes that I found on a couple of blogs that I follow. They are pretty good so I thought that I would share them with you.

Greek Yogurt Funfetti Dip:
I really enjoy reading Katherine's blog "Neon Blonde Runner". She always is eating the yummiest looking food and taking the funnest trips. Plus she has a slight sparkle obsession like me AND she is an amazing runner who will be at Boston this April. Her instagram photos are always some of my favorites too.

When Katherine posted this recipe for Greek Yogurt Funfetti Dip I knew that it had to be good. Truthfully, it is absolutely amazing and you need to make it this weekend. It is great for dipping strawberries, pretzels, plain rice cakes, or graham crackers. Trust me, just make the dip. You won't be disappointed!

Frozen Yogurt Trail Mix Bars:
I am sure that a lot of you follow Lindsay's blog at "The Lean Green Bean". She completing her internship to become a RD and posts amazing recipes weekly. I don't know how she cooks everything that she does, but everything is always well balanced, healthy, and looks delicious. She is also the founder of the ever popular "Foodie Pen Pal" program. Not to mention she is a runner and a crossfitter too!

This is the perfect snack and is really easy to prep. From start to finish these bars took me less than 10 minutes to prep. I used 3 small containers of vanilla Greek yogurt, almond slices, vanilla almond crunch granola, bananas, and fresh strawberries in my bars. After I prepped the bars, I let them sit in the freezer over night before I cut them into bars.

Usually when I get home I hungry for a snack before I workout. 9 times out of 10 I will eat too much and then have to wait an hour before I can run. These bars are the perfect afternoon snack for me. Since they are frozen I can also bring a bar with me to work for my morning snack. Next time I make these bars, I will add more granola for some extra crunch.

Questions for you:
What are some of your favorite recipes that you have found on a blog?
Any else completely taxed out like me?
Fun weekend plans for anyone????

  7. These recipes look delicious - thanks for sharing! The Funfetti dip sounds similar to the marshmellow/sour cream dip I make for parties (have you made that one before) - but much healthier. Yum.

I had a busy week so I'm feeling pretty tired - going to rest up. You should too :)

    1. I am sorry you got the flu! I am still hoping I don't get it. I swear I am the only person to not get sick this year. I am hoping that my immune system can hold out for me!

We were going to go snowshoeing again, but my hubby worked on Saturday morning and then we had stuff to do at our rental before the Super Bowl today. Oh well! Maybe we will make it next weekend.

    1. If I had a Super Bowl party to attend I totally would have made the funfetti dip. I also probably would have eaten 75% by the time the party started. That dip is the bomb!

The trail mix bars are great snacks. I hope that you like them as much as me!
