Monday was my designated rest day. The only physical activity I had was some stretching at physical therapy.
Tuesday I had a nice little 1200 meter workout at threshold pace. It went fabulous and felt effortless.
Workout
called for 3-4 X 1200 meter repeats at my threshold pace of 6:40-6:55 with 2
min recovery and 1 mile easy warm up, 1 mile easy cool down. Piece of cake! All
were within target range with the last one being below.
#3 5:02 (6:45 pace)
#4 4:58 (6:39 pace)
Wednesday I also had physical therapy and massive deep tissue work done. OUCH! After PT I had to run an easy 5 miles (8:00-8:30 pace). I decided to run downtown on the Centennial Trail so that I could see the Spokane Falls. It is absolutely stunning this time of year!
There was a lot of people out on the trail and I even "ran" into the Lululemon Run Club. They were all looking great!
On the schedule for Thursday is an easy 3 miles (8:00-8:30 pace) and Friday calls for an additional easy 5 miles. I might not run 5 miles on Friday depending on when we leave for Eugene. I will at least get in an easy 3 before we leave.
Kind of crazy to think that Eugene is so close. TWO RUNS LEFT!!!!!

Thanks Jill!!! I have seen "taper tantrums" too- it is so true! Tapering is a very interesting and not so fun aspect of training. UGH.

ReplyDeleteThanks- I know it will be, it is just hard sometimes. :-)
DeleteSo exciting! I love the Spokane Falls! I took my boys there last year while my hubby was there on business. We took the Gondola ride:)

ReplyDeleteTapering for swimming was the worst...it was crazy that I could honestly like gain 10 pounds in the two weeks before our meets if I wasn't careful!
