NUUN sense

So Ragnar is happening THIS WEEK! I am so excited!!!!! I am not going to lie, I am a little worried about being runner #7. Word on the street is that this is a tough leg. Lots of hills...OYE. I will need to keep reminding myself that "what comes up, must go down" or something along those lines.

As you might have guessed from the title of my post, our team name is NUUN sense....you know like nonsense? I had a hard time extremely difficult time putting together running outfits. For those of you that know me, I am a very "matchy, matchy" kinda person. I hit up a party store in town plus Fred Meyer for some funky socks. I really hope what I have envisioned works out since I am also the least creative person on earth.

A little preview of my purchases....

I also purchased the PRO Compression sock of the month + the sweet Ragnar socks

The plan:

I will fly into Seattle Thursday after work for a team dinner and van decorating at Nuun HQ. I am beyond excited to meet all of my teammates! Since I am in van #2 we won't depart for the first exchange until 11:30 Friday morning. Not sure what I will do, but I hope that my college bestie Adrienne can come and meet me for coffee.

My first leg is estimate to start around 2:40 that afternoon. Here is a little preview of what I will be running over a 24 (ish) period. Leg #7, #19 & #31. Like I said before looks like LOTS OF HILLS to me.....

Short, but "up, down, up, down"......uphill finish?! Who does that?

Two big HUGE "ups". It is never good when they say "very hard"....

Another "very hard" leg to run with a HUGE uphill finish. YIKES.

There might be lots of hills, but my excitement is unreal. When I really think of it, it is just running two Bloomsday races in a day. That might be hard, but it is obtainable. I am looking forward to this fun opportunity and I cannot wait to meet everyone and have fun running. I am so thankful that Nuun is letting me have a second chance to run Ragnar.

However, before I leave I need to pack....I really hope to make some progress on my packing tonight. My spare bedroom currently looks like this:

It has been a while since I ran a relay so I was thankful that Megan had a handy list of items to not forget that she emailed to us. Wish me luck on completing my packing before midnight!
