3rd Edition: What I am loving

Things I love right now:

Brooks Versatile sports bra. These bras are my hand downs favorite to workout in. I have 5 of them already! They are super comfy and provide great support. Not to mention the awesome color choices. I really like the white/black polka dot one, definitely my new favorite!

Love it when Tia and Maisy go to the doggy beauty parlor. It makes them look pretty and gives us a chance to deep clean our house. They didn't get bows this last time, but got spiffy scarves instead.

My new Brooks Adrenaline running shoes. I am glad that I went back to what worked for me in the past. I bought the metatarsal pads, but I haven’t even had to use them since making the shoe switch. The Adrenalines just work for me and provide just the right amount of support and cushion. I am loving green color- very fun and refreshing for summer running!

Fun workout tanks for Farmgirlfit! I saw these tanks posted on instagram and immediately went to Etsy to check them out. They are cute tanks and fun, but I was a little disappointed in the quality for the price I paid. The tanks are from Forever 21 and I feel like if I wash them more than 5 times they will fall apart.

My new coffee pot! This thing is amazing! I don’t know why I waited so long to replace my old coffee pot that barely worked. My old pot would take 20 minutes to brew in the morning. My new pot takes like 5 minutes. I LOVE IT!

This fun dress I snagged off the clearance rack at Target. It can be worn to work or would be cute with my jean jacket. It is super comfy and I got lots of compliements on it. Love finding great deals on fun clothes!

S’mores coffee. It is as amazing tasting as it sounds.

A) LOVE the deadlift! It is my FAVORITE lift by far. Hello new 20# PR this week. I was ecstatic to not only PR, but to lift over 200# and end at 205#. I have my sights set in 225# now.

B) My new Pro Compression marathon socks that are the MJ limited edition (pictured above). They are super fun and very comfy to wear.

Loving the warm summer nights hanging out at our neighbor's house on the weekends. We are lucky to have awesome neighbors that have become great friends.

The workout journal I created to keep track of my running + Farmgirlfit workouts. It has been so useful and I like it a lot better than Dailymile. I like being able to easily keep track of my lifting PRs. There hasn't been one day since I stopped using Dailymile that I have missed it.

These two half marathons I am running next month:

The Negative Split is an inaugural race that will take place on the Centennial Trail. Hopefully everyone will "negative split" since 1/2 the race is slightly uphill and the last 1/2 is slightly downhill.  The medal is a bottle opener and looks pretty cool!

I have had Missoula on my bucket list now for a couple of years. Runner's World always ranks it as one of the best marathons to run. Every year this race is sold out- the half sold out about a week ago the full has been sold out for months. It will be about a 3 hour drive from Spokane, but should make for a fun girl's weekend away.

My first ultra relay that I will be running in August:

Spokane to Sandpoint has also been on my bucket list for a couple of years. I was asked several months ago by Nicole if I wanted to run it as part of a female ultra team. It sounded like a great idea then, but I am sure I will be questioning my reasoning after my 30th mile in less than 24 hours.....

Let's chat:
What are some things you are loving right now?
Have you ever run an ultra relay before? Have any good tips?

  1. Those adrenalines are my new fave shoe - same colors too! I switch between them and my Cadence and it's working great

  2. S'mores coffee! I don't even drink coffee that much and that sounds up my alley! I know exactly what you mean about being able to deep clean while having the dogs out for a little while! I ran a Ragnar on an all-women's ultra team. It was definitely a fun adventure but more of a one and done thing for me!

    1. The S'mores coffee is so yummy. It is a great morning treat for sure.
My husband and I made a pact that whenever the girls go to the groomer we deep clean the house. LOL.

    1. My coworker order one of the tanks too and actually provided negative feedback on the etsy site about the quality of them. I am going to write a review about haven't yet. They claimed that nobody was been concerned with the quality. My annoyance was the bottom kept rolling up when I was working out. We definitely should just make our own!

  4. Those are some pretty shoes! Glad they are working for you. I didn't know they came with birth certificates, I would swear none of my Brooks have,

I have that Smores coffee and am in love with it too. So sad I won't be doing Missoula this year since you are! It is a great race and I found it very organized.

Love the sayings on the tanks, bummer on the quality.

    1. The birth certificates are a new fun marketing campaign. :-)

I am glad that you loved Missoula, but sad you won't be there. I know a lot of people running this year. It should be fun.

    1. The green is fabulous! I am little bummed because I really, really, really like the new color that they just release for the Adrenaline. Good thing I go through shoes quickly!

  8. I am loving....my bike! Not sure why I take such long breaks between rides, but I love it! Oh and I love my new pair of Pearl Izumi biking shorts. I went with a shorter short, somewhat of a brief - a bit out of my comfort zone but I liked them a lot!

    1. I should be loving my bike, but I hardly ever have a chance to ride. Too many crazy drivers in my hood and it is a chore to get my bike in my car. A chore!

  11. I really like the idea of the work out journal! And your lifting is super impressive. I've heard the Missoula race is amazing. I just bought the Pro Compression red, white and blue socks and I love them!

    1. The workout journal is a bit harder for keeping a running total of miles, but so far I am making it work. I did make a spreadsheet that I taped in the back of it where I can list my max lifts in FGF. I guess I could do the same thing for my weekly/monthly miles.

  12. Thanks for the reco on the sports bras, I will have to check those out! Bummer about the tanks. I love how they look but if the quality isn't there, that's a huge downfall! :(

    1. I love the versatile sports bra. They come in the best color combos too! So far I washed both tanks and they didn't fall apart. Not sure how long they will last though. Who makes a workout tank out of something from "Forever 21"?
