Friday Favorites: 2nd edition of what I am loving

Time for my second edition of things that I love...in no particular order
(posting a day early...because I have special visitors)

I got a nice surprise in the mail from the Hot Chocolate 5K (recap here) a couple of weeks ago. I didn't realize that they were going to mail out AG awards. Love getting fun surprises like this!

Nuun is rocking my socks off right now. The new flavors? They are the bomb! Loving all of them, especially Cherry Limeade. If you haven't tried this flavor yet, go and buy it now. You can thank me later.

Loving my Nuun Ambassador profile too! It went live a couple of weeks ago.

Really, really, really LOVING my Nuun singlet. This was another AWESOME surprise to recieve in my mailbox last week. They weren't supposed to ship until the week of April 8th. I am excited to wear this in San Francisco next month.

Lock Laces!!! These things are incredible! Read my review if you don't know what they are about.

My new Brooks Pure Flows (shown above). They are so cushy and comfortable and make my feet so, so, so happy.

Run Club at the Lantern Tap House is in full swing. These are the inaugural shirts for participants for running last year.

Dutch Bros! I love how fast and friendly their service is. I always get a 16 oz skinny Oregon Chai. There is one right next to my work, how convenient for a work treat to start my day.

This medal that will soon be added to my collection of race bling. This bling will be well earned. The course looks TOUGH.

New hair do!!!!!!!!!

It is funny how many people haven't recognized me or have done a total double take. At my current job people have only known me with long hair. I have gotten some great compliments and I am loving it. Will need to get used to it for running though. Might be wearing a lot of hats...

My parents are here for a weekend. I am so excited to spend a three day weekend with them. Since they are here, I will be going off the social grid until Monday.

I don’t have to work today. Woohoo! Last furlough day....I think I got used to the 4 day work weeks. No complaints from me!

Questions for you:
What are you loving right now?
Ever had a big hair change up and not had people recognize you???

  1. Oh, I love this post! Nuun seems to be giving the ambassadors all sorts of nice goodies this year :) That singlet will be nice! I love my banana nuun- sounds like I have a new flavor to try now.

Your cut is just adorable- classy and cute! I had an a-line bob like yours once and it took a while before people recognized me. My niece just cut her hair and donated it today! I think it will feel GREAT for running- a good reason for new accessories :)

Still not used to the short hair and running. Hats are my new friend. :-)

  7. I love the hair!! With my red hair, I don't think I could ever not be recognized. :) Yes, cutting it short does make running a bit tricky... but it's so cute!

  9. I adore your hair! So freakin' cute! And the NUUN singlet is really cute. I want to try the Cherry Limeaid flavor, stat! Over the years I've noticed I need to drink more than water to stay hydrated during my runs.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  18. Sounds like a lot of great things! I got some lock laces for free, and I loved that I never had to re-tie my shoes! I stopped wearing them because I thought they were contributing to blisters, but now as I look back, switching to regular laces didn't seem to help at all. I might have to put my lock laces back on!

    1. I haven't gotten blisters from the laces, but I have gotten blisters on the top of my foot before when my shoes weren't flexible enough. It hurt :(

  20. This is a whole lot of love :) I have just received some new Nuun flavours that I can't wait to try including the cherry lemonade one! I've been hanging out for my long run tomorrow to arrive just so I can try it :P

Also - so sorry about my lack of commenting this week! None of your posts from this one forward have hit my Google Reader feed, for some inexplicable reason. It just occurred to me to actually check your blog because you usually post so regularly, and I'm glad I did. I don't know what's up with Google Reader but I'll check manually for a while...

    1. Let me know what you think of cherry limeade. I think that it rocks. I am going to be drinking on my 22 miler this weekend!

I wonder if something is up from google reader because they are closing it down this summer? Who knows. Technology can be both good and bad. :-)
