Innovative Elastic Shoelace and Fastening System Keeps Shoes Tied Securely
I first heard about Lock Laces through the blogging world. Kat was talking about how fabulous they were and then I started noticing that everyone else was also saying great things. I was excited to see an email in my inbox from Danielle at Lock Laces asking me if I would like to try out their product too. I immediately said yes, because one of big pet peeves is my shoe laces coming untied when I am running. I always double tie them, but sometimes they still manage to come untied. I actually ran a half marathon for about 4 miles with my shoe lace untied (Girlfriend's 1/2 Marathon).
Loved my Brooks Racer ST5s...just not the shoe laces.
Danielle asked me what color I wanted so I gave her my top three choices: black, cotton candy pink & hot pink. I was really surprised when I received all three colors! Thank you Danielle!
The process for putting on the Lock Laces is really easy. Took me less than 5 minutes to do both of my shoes. For the best fit put your Lock Laces on with your running shoe already on your foot
1. Remove your old shoe laces
2. Thread in your Lock Laces like you would a regular shoe lace
3. Squeeze lock and thread each lace through the lock
4. Measure 2-3 inches below the lock and cut the excess laces off
5. Insert laces into clip and press to close
7. Go for a run!
I love how the shoes still feel snug on my feet during running or crossfit workouts too. I will be putting Lock Laces on all of my running shoes now. It will be fun to mix up and laces with my shoes. There are so many great colors to choose: orange creamsicle, sour green apple, navy blue, cool gray to name few.
Here is information directly from the Lock Laces website in regards to their product:
LOCK LACES™ meet the demands of all types of athletes and fitness enthusiasts, optimizing performance while training and competing. For example, triathletes are able to maximize their transition speeds; runners and marathoners can rely on sustained compression across the foot, increasing the amount of oxygen available to the muscles to help manage fatigue; and CrossFitters no longer have to worry about adjusting their shoes or laces coming undone mid-training session.
Though originally designed for athletes, LOCK LACES™ are comfortable and convenient enough for casual, everyday use, allowing for shoes to slip on and off easily, eliminating the need to constantly tie and untie. Furthermore, the shoelace system has proven to simplify the lives of youth, seniors and those with special needs.
LOCK LACES™ are available in black, brown, white, cool gray, hot pink, cotton candy pink, navy blue, purple, orange creamsicle, red, royal blue, yellow, and sour green apple. For an SRP of $7.99 per pair, the laces are distributed worldwide by Nathan Sports/Penguin Brands Inc. and are available at more than 2,000 retail locations across the U.S. including Big 5 Sporting Goods, Academy, Meijer, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

ReplyDeleteMeagan, they are awesome. I have had them on my Pure Flows for two weeks now and they have been great.
DeleteOh goodness - I could totally benefit from these! My laces come untied a lot on one foot in particular! I am going to check them out
ReplyDeleteI hate it when my shoe laces come untied and people tell me to double tie them. I DO!!!!! They can still come untied people. :-)
DeleteI love the one set of those I have, I do need more! I ran a couple miles in a race once with my shoe untied too, such a pain!
ReplyDeleteIt is really annoying when it happens in a race because you don't want to stop. At least I don't want to stop. The hot pink laces would look awesome on your new shoes. :-)
Deleteoh if they have neon, I'll have to try a pair sometime :) I'm big about having neon laces!
ReplyDeleteThe neon lock laces would be perfect for you!
DeleteI would love to try these. I too have had issues with shoe laces coming untied during races/runs and it's SO ANNOYING.
ReplyDeleteIt is really annoying. The laces on my old Brooks shoes were almost like a ribbon. I thought that they new model would have a different lace, but they didn't. Everyone commented on how the laces never stayed tied. I never had a problem until that race. Frustrating.
DeleteWhy have I never heard of these before?! Such a simple but excellent idea :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a great idea? It is so simple I feel like I should have thought of it!
DeleteI have to double knot my laces because they always come untied! These would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThese are the perfect solution Brandi!
DeleteI MUST {and have been meaning to} try these! My shoe laces, even when I double/triple knot them always manage to come untied?? Its the darnedest thing ever :) They just had these on gearbuzz, but I missed em; excited to use the code AND support a great cause!
ReplyDeleteThey are GREAT Holly!! I love them. I hated how my shoe laces would always come untied. I would feel like such a dork, but I would always double tie them too. I actually purchased extra when I saw the gearbuzz deal. I hope that you get some soon and like them as much as me.
